><hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Lecture Logos Readings<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/hnigelthomas.org\/\"><strong>LECTURES LOGOS READINGS<\/strong><\/a>, as the bilingual name implies, is an English-French reading series that is held monthly. It is co-hosted by H. Nigel Thomas and Maguy M\u00e9tellus. Its principal objectives are: \u00a0getting writers from Montreal minority communities to share their work with the majority community, building community links via literature, and providing a sharing space for literary artists. Logos\u2019 readers include established and beginning writers, and there is almost always a complementary open mic session.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Kola Magazine<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>KOLA MAGAZINE<\/b>\u00a0was founded in 1987 by four Black Montreal writers, who called themselves the Black Writers\u2019 Guild. Its purpose was to provide an outlet for the literary creativity of Blacks, whose work at the time was rarely accepted by Euro-Canadian journals.\u00a0 The Guild accepted work from everyone of every race provided their work was relevant to the Black experience. The events will comprise four themed sessions, ninety minutes long, of four writers plus a moderator. Each session will be comprised of two sections.
